Our first night in Borneo, we stayed at a new little "resort" called Paganakan Dii. It had individual little rooms made up in the style of traditional Borneo stilt huts. But a bit more modern on the inside. Nothing luxurious, but clean rooms and super friendly staff... best of all, it had an amazing outdoor bathroom where you could look out over the canyon as you showered.
Highly recommend staying there next time you are in Sandakan in Borneo, Malaysia.
