The adventure begins!

For those that don't know, we are going on an extended honeymoon, traipsing about SE Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The run-up to the honeymoon has been hectic, what with planning to be gone for ten weeks, moving out of our apartment (again), moving into storage (again), doing job searches, and a million other things in life. After two consecutive all-nighters (a new record even for us), we were able to high-tail it to the airport with literally just moments to spare, thanks to the personalized chauffeur service offered by Gary, our ever-amazing pal.

Our first stop on this adventure was Malaysia, and our flight route took us through Melbourne (don't ask). You won't be surprised to hear that upon arrival in Melbourne, we were told that our bags had gone missing.

One hour into a ten-week trip, and already the misadventure begins. Typical.

Our bags did eventually reach Kuala Lumpur, and so did we: given the sleep deprivation we both subjected ourselves to prior to the honeymoon, we spent the Melbourne-Kuala Lumpur leg of our journey appropriately unconscious. This turned out to be a plus based on the size of the Air Asia seats, since the airline assumes all passengers are 85 pounds and 4'6" tall, at most.
